But look the other way.
They say,“We love the Lord!”
But a kind word they will not say.
They say, “We serve the Lord!”
But will not heal the soul
They say, “We serve the Lord!”
But they leave a gaping hole.
They say, “We praise the Lord!”
But gossip is their sin
They say, “We praise the Lord!”
But their words prick like a pin.
They say, “We speak for the Lord!”
But their mouths spout out lies
They say, “We speak for the Lord!”
But hatred is in their eyes.
Dare to say, “I love the Lord!
And I love his people too!”
Dare to say, “I love the Lord!
And I would die for you.”
Dare to say, “I serve the Lord!
And so I feed you bread.”
Dare to say, “I serve the Lord!”
And I won’t leave you for dead.”
Dare to say, “I praise the Lord,
And I do thank Him for you!”
Dare to say, “I praise the Lord,
And I commend the good you do!”
Dare to say, “I speak for the Lord!
And so I shout his grace.”
Dare to say, “I speak for the Lord!
And I love His glow on your face.”
The poor, the lonely, and the lost
Abhor a Christian who’s fake
For the hungry, desolate, and abused
All eternity is at stake.
“They say…..but I say,”
Was and still is Christ’s way“
They say…..but I say,
Love…love…love…come what may!”
